The flowers at the High Altar are given to the Glory of God and in thanksgiving for God’s many blessings.

If you are visiting or new to the Advent, we hope that you will feel welcome and at home.  Please fill out a visitor’s/newcomer’s card so that we will have a record of your visit here and can keep in touch.

All persons baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit are invited to the Altar to receive the Body and Blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  If you wish to receive a blessing, come to the Altar and cross your arms over your chest.

Welcome the Bennetts back to Boston!  This morning we are pleased to have Ryan and Erin Bennett worshipping with us.  The Bennetts are in the U.S. for a brief break from their work as church planters in Paris with World Team, and the Advent has been supporting them financially and with our prayers.  Please say hello to them and their little boy, Elias.  They will be sharing about this work with members of the Mission Team in the Frisby Room between the masses, if you would like to listen in.

Music Notes!  This is the last Sunday for our 11:15 summer choir, until they return in August.  We are grateful to have several fine soloists for the month of July.  The summer music list may be found online at:

Katelyn Emerson, former Oberlin Sacred Music Intern at the Advent, has won First Prize in The National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance (NYACOP.)  NYACOP is the premier performance competition of the American Guild of Organists.  The competition aims to identify those performers best poised to engage and inspire audiences in years ahead; winners spanning several decades have gone on to establish prominent careers, with many first-prize winners remaining on concert management rosters long after a term as a NYACOP winner has concluded.  Ms Emerson will join us as the new Associate Organist & Choirmaster this autumn.  We couldn’t be more thrilled and proud to welcome her back to the Advent family!

Bible Study Continues – Wednesdays at 10 a.m. – Parish Library // Interested in studying the Bible with others from our parish? Join us in the Library on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. This week we continue our study of the Gospel of John.
