Many, many thanks to our nine o’clock Parish Choir for their choral work this year.  Their contribution to our worship is immeasurable.  They begin their summer break today, but please express your thanks to choir members personally when you spy them in the pews or at coffee hour!

Our summer choir season begins this morning.  A reduced choir will sing for the 11:15 Solemn Mass, offering motets and mass settings, until Sunday, July 3, when soloists will sing for the month of July.  On August 7, the summer choir returns.  Music lists can be found online at  https://www.theadventboston.org/1115-music-schedule/.

Hails & Farewells!  Our very talented Associate Organist & Choir Master pro tempore, Jonathan Ortloff’s last appearance was on Corpus Christi this past Thursday.  Ross Wood will continue to as Organist & Choir Master pro tempore through August.  There will be a festive celebration of their time with us after the Solemn Procession & Mass on Michaelmas, September 29.  Please mark your calendars!

THIS WEEK

Monday, May 30 is Memorial Day and the Parish Office will be closed.  The holiday schedule will be observed—Morning Prayer at 8:30 am; Low Mass at 9:00 am; Evening Prayer is cancelled.

Picnic!  Picnic!  Picnic!  On Sunday June 5, we will have a summertime picnic in the Garden following the 9 am and 11:15 am Masses.  The Advent will provide hot dogs with all the trimmings and drinks of various kinds.  We ask members of the Parish to bring hors d’oeuvres, salads, desserts.  Pray for good weather and feel free to dress appropriately.

MISSION & OUTREACH CORNER

Boston Print for Sale to Support the Advent in Mission—Our friends at Old Try (www.theoldtry.com) have created a limited edition vintage letterpress print now on sale in our bookstall to support the Advent in Mission.  The beautiful print reads “In Boston as it is in Heaven” (a prayer we pray implicitly every time we say the Our Father), and depicts the skyline as it appears in our city seal.  The limited edition prints are $39 and supplies are limited—so buy one (or three!) soon as a prayer for our city and to raise funds for missions at the Advent.
