The flowers at the High Altar are given to the Glory of God and in loving memory of Rosalinda Kiernan.

If you are visiting or new to the Advent, we hope that you will feel welcome and at home. Please fill out a visitor’s/newcomer’s card so that we will have a record of your visit here and can keep in touch.

All persons baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit are invited to the Altar to receive the Body and Blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you wish to receive a blessing, come to the Altar and cross your arms over your chest.

Entr’acte This Morning—Following the 9:00 am Sung Mass, Fr Hanson will begin a four part Entr’acte series on the Trinitarian Controversies which took place during the first four centuries of the Church’s history.  It was in these fascinating discussions and arguments that the Christian understanding of the nature of the Godhead was hammered out, and so they were crucial for the subsequent development of the teaching of the Church.  Fr Hanson will continue this series next Sunday, November 20 and then on Sundays, December 4 and 11.

Confirmation Classes Rescheduled for Next Spring // The Advent offers confirmation classes every year for those who wish to be confirmed or received into the Anglican Communion. The next confirmation services are in the spring, and in light of the relatively few sign-ups for classes that were to begin this fall, we’ve decided to run the classes on Wednesdays in Lent as we’ve done for the past few years. Adults and teens who are interested should still email for more information and to sign up for a class.

Coat Drive to benefit Friends of the Children, Boston—through Sunday, November 27—One Warm Coat—Got an extra coat—any size, adult or child? Donate your lightly worn, clean coat to our coat drive, to benefit Friends of the Children, a nonprofit agency serving Boston’s most vulnerable children by breaking the cycle of poverty. Questions? See Deacon Daphne. Thanks to all who have donated coats—your generosity will make a difference this winter (which seems to have arrived rather early!)
